Miss Bonnie Nelson

I first learned of Bonnie thru an ad for her fan club that appeared in the Music City News in early 1977. Based on her picture that appeared with the ad, I just had to join her fan club in order to get an autographed 8x10. I didn't know if she could sing or not, and it really didn't matter, because I wanted that picture. It turned out she sang as good as she looked, and the rest as they say is history.

The photo on the left was made the first time I met Bonnie in person. That happened at Country Music Fan Fair in Nashville, Tennessee in 1978,

The photo on the right is one of my favorites, and was taken at the 1995 Wyoming State Fair in Douglas, Wyoming. That handsome guy in the photos with her is yours truly.

These photos prove that age treated us differently. She got better looking, and I lost my hair.
